might sound stupid but you all think it will support multi users. IPhone and Touch don't really need them cause they are more of a personal device.

but the IPad could use it. lets say I get one for the entire family for email and web browsing while around the house. with multi user support it would be able to keep everyone's setting separate, email addy, favorites, ect...

what ya all think?

however I kinda get the idea Apple would like you to buy one for each member of the family so I don't see them doing this but I can hope.

By muti I presume you mean multi.

By multi user support, I guess you mean have different profiles for each person (different music, email etc.) akin to the way Mac OS X operates. I don't think that's going to happen in the first gen. (but the second or third maybe) and if that does happen you would be able to update to the new software.

Many of the operations you specify you can do now anyway. You can have different playlists for each person in the house and you can have multiple email accounts on the same iPad. Different favourites I am not so sure about however you could have a different favourite folder for each person.

However if it is like the iPhone and the iPod touch then it can only sync with one computer so you would need to have all of the family's music on the one computer.
