i know there's really no way to tell just yet, but what are your opinions on how well Modern Warfare 2 will run on the 9600M GT graphics card? (via bootcamp)

I've been playing COD4 for a few months now, but i don't really have anything to compare my gaming experience to....fresh blood to the computer gaming world.

how can i check my fps rate??? i think it's pretty good, I'm just curious how my machine compares to the other posts.

I'm guessing you have the 256MB 9600M GT, right? Either way, MW:2 should run about the same as CoD4, maybe even better at the same settings. Of course, it will have graphics options that can be cranked up beyond those in CoD4, but you can always run at medium-low settings. I'm guessing you could get 40-45 FPS with MW:2 on Windows at ~low-ish settings. To check you FPS, pop up the console by hitting the tilde (~) key, then type in /cg_drawFPS 1. To lock your FPS (can make gameplay smoother), type in /com_maxFPS (# of FPS you want here.) Make sure you lock the framerate to your AVERAGE framerate, and not at some ridiculously high setting, as this will make gameplay choppy. Happy playing.

i've got my resolution set to 1440 x 900 and I am getting about 30 - 45 FPS on the Bog map.

is that decent? like i said i think it looks awesome, but i don't know if that is just because i am new to computer gaming.
