Downloading YouTube videos is against YouTube's TOS I believe, so Apple likely wouldn't approve anything like that and if they did YT could complain.

kind of ironic since YouTube posts copyrighted material on their websites. I guess that's OK but if someone wants to d/l a video it's not OK. Thank gawd we can jailbreak.

I found an app called pDownloader which isn't exactly user friendly but it does the job. It basically let's you download any file from any site using the built in browser. Pretty handy.

If anyone does know a more specialised or easier to use app, though, do share :D

Right, I can't believe it took so long for me to find it, but MxTube is on the App Store, under the name MiTube!

This is why apple sucks and why I got over my iphone/ipad Jail breaking days

On my Samsung note 4 and 8 (I have tons of devices at home even a iPad Pro) and they act like REAL computers, no jailbreaking direct copy and paste in windows and VLC player can see it along with custom windows like folders, NO need for syncing or converting like iTunes/apple too (can even use my phone as a giant HDD)

As for mxtube, you can download tubemate that can rip ANY MEDIA from ANY site and into any file eg mp3/mp4 and play it, it’s so good there’s heaps of fake apps of it (just get it at its official site)

I can even download a mp3 splitter (free) and edit it to my liking (eg I just downloaded some relaxing singing bowls YouTube video I wanted to help me sleep and cut out the long intro, heck I can move any audio into my alarms or ringtones folder using onboard file browsers or download a free one of my choice on the playstore NO rooting

Full HD rip or instant audio file and allows multiple simultaneous downloads.....lol you people still use apple?
Jailbreaking slows your system down AND 80% of the tweaks ideas are ripped off for by apple because apple can’t come up with original ideas and it sucks, swap to android people’s

p.s since it rips the audio to my device (or SD, another reason why androids better) I can turn off my screen and sleep
