I would think if there was an actual chunk of aluminum missing there would be no question that it would be replaced. So i've got to ask, is the chip visible by the average human eye? Sorry, but given some of the silly complaining i've read on here from a select few, it's a legitimate question.

its visible but its not very big. its a spot of black where the side has been blunted off. you can feel it too

the store told me they sent it up to their hq to see what they can do as mine is a CTO set.

If they refuse to replace it what should i do

I think if you insist on it being a problem (if it bothers you that much) I'm sure they will exchange it. Many people change between 13.3" and 11.6" units without hassle. Why should you have to settle for a unit that you aren't happy with?

If it's an actual chip that you can see and feel it would bother me too, especially if it wasn't caused by myself. If they don't replace it you ask to speak with a manager, if you can't get anywhere you can dispute the charge. At that point it MIGHT be more trouble than it's worth, but that's for you to decide.

No question about it...bring it back, try different stores, do whatever you need to do. You paid good money for it, you deserve to be 100% satisfied!
