hello all,
first i need to thanx u all members because of your contribution to the forum i was able to decide which model i must go for .

iam from india we get macs here but we dont get the 4gb option of ram here .
since my sister stays in usa ..she ordered a 1.4ghz , 4gb , 128gb model for me and my bro-in-law will be comming to india along with it tommorow .
since this is my first mac ever . i just dont know what to do once i open the box .
i mean i must on the air and then what ?what u guys advice me to do first register at the apple site ? i was also planning to install click to flash since most of the members suggest that. any other important things i need to do pls let me know .
once again thanx a lot for all your contribution.

Congrats rav with your new 11 MBA its a great little machine and if it's your first Mac you would love the experience with the mac.

Don't worry too much mac are much easier to operate that windows machines some of the freeware softwares that you can install http://www.tech2buzz.com/mac/my-best-free-mac-os-x-software

what i actually wanted to know is since its a gift to me from my sister they just bought it from the macmall and now getting it here early morning tuesday .
now for the warranty purpose what i need to do ? do i need to register online or make a call ? i did the same when i had a dell vostro v13 . how to go about with the mac air ?
and is it a good idea to install click to flash ? thanx once again a lotttt

you'll be prompted for registration, you can do it then.

i use click to flash and really like it.

As far as I can remember you can register online the warrant is worldwide, I will check up with my Apple Authorized reseller in India from where I buy all my Mac computers and update you on that.

Yeah Click to flash is a good one will give you a lot better battery life, where flash is needed I just use chrome but for everything else I use Safari.

Rav I had a talk with my friend who is a apple authorized reseller here in India, you can go ahead and register your mac that was purchased in the US in India, you would get the warranty the warranty is applicable world wide according to him.

ranjitb i finally got my bad boy air today and i followed exactly what the air told me to do .
i went also on click to flash website and downloded the software and gave it run and then went to youtube and the videos there tell me that i need to download flash i dont see the grey patch of click to flash . i click on safari at the extreme right on the screen and i dont find any click to flash icon or anything what i need to do for that ? iam sorry might be a silly question but this is my first ever mac in life any help from u will be great .

The MacBook Air doesn't ship with flash installed. If I'm reading your post correctly you've installed Click To Flash but haven't yet downloaded and installed actual Flash from Adobe site. That is what you need to do next.

Yes what Savage says is correct first you need to go to adobe and download flash for mac.
