:confused::confused::confused:

My air is downloaded a file from Apple at 175kb/s
I have a white macbook downloading same file at 1.5meg/s

both are on the same network.????

I checked network settings on it's identical on both machines.

My mbair's connection is perfectly fine at my other house, but the one I'm currently residing in is super slow.

and not just downloading, it has a slow responsiveness to when connecting to websites...sometimes takes a couple minutes to load a page. :confused:

Did you reboot?
Did you cancel and restart the download?
Can you not just transfer the file from one computer to the other over the local network?

it's not a one time thing, I want to fix what's wrong before I pull my hair out!!
It's like I'm back on a 56k modem sometimes, not exaggerating.

It must be a setting or something though, since my mbair's wireless works perfectly at my other house.

I had the same problem but across all my macs at home.

Don't know if this helps but my problem was having 2 2.4ghz baby monitors 'bleeding' into my 2.4ghz airport extreme. Even when I'm on 5ghz network at home if the baby monitor is near my computer the internet goes $#^$%! As soon as i remove the baby monitors away (7-10feet) everything is back to zippy fast.

The wireless 2.4ghz handset, when placed near the airport extreme our internet goes #*&$^ so check all the wireless devices around you and make sure nothing 'wireless' is around your computer or router.

If nothing works for you then time to go see what the mac genius can do you for you.
