Unfortunately the battery is ok so Apple wants $750 to replace my 2021 M1 iPad which went out of warranty a couple of months ago. I left the genius bar a little disgruntled, but then heard that there is an iPad event today. I decided to get a new iPad and trade my old one in. Didn't want to upgrade this soon as I don't see a lot of performance spikes for each subsequent release, but it is what it is. I hope this iPad will last much more than 2 years especially as AppleCare is only one year now.
