I bought two iPads on launch day and tried to order a third last week for my daughter in college. I thought their limit was two per order, but I was wrong.

Then I had my wife reorder the 3G for my daughter using her own Apple ID, but same credit card and mailing address. I called Apple to make sure they weren't going to nail me again and the guy said they would. He said they're being super strict and tracking address and credit card, not just apple ID.

Simple workaround with someone else ordering for my daughter, but I thought I'd give you all a heads up.

Can't complain. My apple stock has blown up this year, making these almost seem like I'm getting them for free.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought a 32gb wifi at launch, then a 16gb wifi for my mother-in-law. Now I fear for my 3G.

The Apple guy nixed that idea. Said they are tracking shipping address too. Don't know how with people getting them to businesses, but he seemed to indicate that they were being hard core about the enforcement.
