I wonder if someone else has experienced this: I carelessly banged the table on which I keep my 6,1. The computer was in sleep mode at that moment, but it "woke up" with all the lights at its back going live, to return to sleep mode after a couple of seconds. Strange!

The other day my wife complained (yet once again) that there was a problem with her Mac Mini6,1.
She said that it wont remain in sleep mode, "After use I put it to sleep, then when walking away it came alive again."
I said, "Show me again!"
She did the same again, and whilst in sleep mode when getting up to move away from the desk it sprung into life. But I noticed she had touched the edge of the desk which slightly jolted the mouse mat and mouse itself. It was the mouse movement causing the 'problem'.

OK, that sounds like a reasonable explanation. Thanks a lot!

There should be a tilt sensor in tcMP. While at sleep (or not) and you tilt it, the lights on the back IO panel will lit up. I have read somewhere it's for a user to better see where exactly to attach the cables to it. I'm not sure if it should wake from a slight tilt though. Haven't tried or tested the behavior that much myself, just happened to notice it one day.

btw. static electric pulse can wake a computer too. On dry winter days it's pretty easy to demonstrate. If you rub your clothes a little nearby the computer and zap - it wakes up. I guess the zap could kill the computer too if unlucky, so maybe don't want to do that at all.

The first paragraph was soothing and thanks for that info. The second paragraph, on the other hand, really scared me! Ha ha!
