My AirPods have the correct name in the Bluetooth section of the settings, but when I go to general—>about, they show my buddies name who I let try them once. Can I change that? It says “johns AirPods pro” and I guess I’d rather have it not say that haha. Thank you!

You can forget the device by tapping on the little "i" icon, and then reconnecting them to your phone
