So I'm real excited today, my app was just released on the app store. Two downloads so far! I'm not sure how I'm going to spend my $1.40 :)

The process proved to be fairly painless. I know some of the posters on this forum have had more difficulties, so I was real worried. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. Definitely thankful for that.

I submitted the application last Thursday, and it was approved for sale yesterday, and up on the App Store by last night. It was a 5 day turn-around, so hopefully they are getting better about churning these apps out. I was most worried about the contract since I setup my app for worldwide distribution, including Asia. I had read that this could slow down the process. So I emailed apple, and got a response within a day that my contract was approved. I'm not sure if the email helped accelerate the process, or if it just went quickly for other reasons.

Anyways, the application is a fairly basic Fantasy Football application named "Draft Central '08". It can be found in the Sports section of the App Store. I set it up to show up under the Entertainment category as well, but its still not in there.

Furthermore, it doesn't show up on the "What's New" tab, so not sure if something special needs to happen to see that. I'll be patient however.

I apologize if this is not allowed by forum rules, but here is a link to the application: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=287660733&mt=8

I'm not really trying to solicit buyers, more just trying to get some reviews from people. Hopefully get people to try it out, give some feedback. I'm already working on v1.1, so we'll see how that whole update process goes!

Thanks to everyone who helped along the way...I've definitely posted several questions in this forum...

Almost nothing shows up on the What's New tab. I think it's just whatever the staff picks for the week.

They do seem to be getting faster about turning apps around. My first update to Morocco took 10 days to show up. My second one, which went live yesterday, took only 4 days.

Good luck with the app!

Show off, I have two apps that have been listed as "Ready for Sale" since 8/6/08 at 10:00am, and they still haven't hit the store yet.

Like I said, I feel tremendously lucky! Hopefully you see something soon!

How do you get your http link for your app? Mine aws approved and I want to put up a link to the app on my website.

deply n test

Hi all,

I got a developer account and was able to login into it.

Now what would i need to do with it ?

Thing is, if I need to test my application developed in a phone, how would i go about it ? I need to test it thoroughly before sending for appstore, is not it ?

regards
Jagat

Congratulations Belsokar!

I'm just about to upload my first app to apple (just some problems with the signings and provisions :() - but I know I'll be just as proud after weeks of coding, testing and debugging. It must be a great feeling to have your app ready for the world to enjoy!

Question: what e-mail address did you use when asking about your contracts? (apple seems to randomly reply to my questions)

Answer to Jagat: first, it is not usual to ask such random questions in someone else's topic (but since I'm doing it too, I shall answer your question).
- First fill in all the contracts, since they take a while to get approved.
- Think of a nice application, and start working!
- Yes, you will need to test your app thoroughly! We had at least 10 betas released to our testers before we had our final. Don't be happy with a sleazy interface or moderate features. Go for the top!
