Since the last OS update, whenever we lose power, my Apple TV forgets the previous wireless password and I have to re-enter it. Now, it seems to be forgetting it daily without the power failure. My only guess at the moment is that it has started to reboot itself because of some hardware problem or something of that nature.

Is there a way to force a re-install of the OS?

Yeah, under the settings screens somewhere there is a restore option. Can't tell ya exactly where right now.

Settings -> General -> Reset Settings -> Factory Restore

Be careful through because this will also delete any content you have synced on your ATV.

Ouch ... It takes forever to sync 40G of music, etc. over the wireless. I might just have to teach everyone how to re-enter the network password before they use the ATV.

The ATV is starting to look as orphaned as the Mac Mini did before the 2009 update.
