Getting a 20th of that speed on broadband LOL.

Lol its sad that on xlte my cell is 4x faster then my home internet also

----------

Pretty average for LTE. At least in NZ lol.

Xlte is just marketing its still just plain old LTE but using 2 new bands for faster bandwidth

I would peak hit around 80 down and 30 up and is way better then 5-16 1-2 I was getting before.

No I know that, but here in NZ, those speeds were normal at initial deployment of the 4G network. Now we are using CAT4 LTE which is providing speeds of up to 150Mbps down on devices like the Note 3, S4(?), S5, iPhone 6 and 6+ etc.

Many people seem to only get around 120Mbps down with CAT 4 devices though.

Your speeds are normally that fast because you don't have 300 million people using 4g like in the USA.

Its not our phones or our LTE that's the problem.its to many people using them on the network.

Verizon is now using 3 bands of LTE to try to get around network congestion.

700mhz,1700mhz and 2100mhz

I could live with that but this is how crappy mine is on the 700mhz band.its so bad in the Boston area I usually get 3-5mb down and that is legit 3g speeds.

I'm also on unlimited too lol

Interesting. Our carriers are using the 2100 band for urban areas and 700mhz for rural. And that's it. Since all carriers are GSM and want consumers, they try and use all the same bands.

This is cool but mobile phones have diminishing returns past like 20mbps. It's only as fast as the phone can render. Your latency seems pretty high though..

Verizon is good at solving non-existent problems. My FiOS Quantum for example is just them not limiting my speed quite as much as before.
