iPhone My battery life is still poor after getting replacement SE?

My SE used to last forever on iOS 10. But from the day an hour it was updated to iOS 11 it will be lucky to make it through the day. I've been on at Apple for months about my battery life, we did all the usual setup as new phone etc but it never made any difference.

I was under warranty so they decided to replace my phone, I had high hopes but no exactly the same battery life, it will just about make it to bedtime whereas before iOS 11 I could get almost 2 full days out of it, it would die around about 6pm on the second day with my usage,

Is anyone else having these issues?

What version was first one on and what about second?

Old had 11.2.2, new 11.2.1 which I updated

And did you restore your backup, or set up as new? If you restored your backup, you have found the problem. Two devices, same backup, same problem. Restoring as new always fixes battery problems.

This sucks....
Due to my own update issues, and stories like yours, I am now scared to update my Apple devices.

I have an SE using iOS 10, I was worried about what might happen if I update, after reading a few stories like yours, I think I will stick with iOS 10 for now.

The replacement phone was set up as a new phone with only minimum apps installed.

When I bought my first SE, it was shipped with ios 10.0. I got 10-11 hours of usage. Before Christmas my iPhone was stolen and I had to buy the other one. The only positive side about it was for me that it will have new battery and I would again have those 10-11 hours of usage. Completely new iPhone SE under ios 11.2.2 gives me 7,5-8 hours of usage so it is 30% less. Performance is now much better with ios 11.2 than it was with ios 11.0 and Im not regreting upgrading but the battery life could be better. People who complain about battery arę definetely right.

By your logic, every single device running that version of iOS will experience the same battery drain. And that is flat out not true. Restoring your device as new removes the variable of corrupt settings that cause inadvertent battery drain.

This is partly why I keep my SE on iOS 10.3.3. Although it's a back up to my X, it works flawlessly and the battery life is fantastic.

To the OP, I don't think anything short of reverting back to iOS 10 would help your case. And going back to iOS 10 is impossible, unless Apple mistakenly starts signing old iOS's again.

Nope, i have an SE running 11.2.1 and my battery lasts just as you said, about 2 days of average usage

Right folks this is interesting. I took a lend of my sons 6s, restored from iCloud backup, now this phone is an old 64gb model, its at least 2 years old. I am now home from work with 80% battery life on iOS 11.2.5, On my SE it I would be 50% at this stage on a good day, it was usually somewhere around 40%.

Something going on with both the SE's I had.
