ok, so when the phone is on portrait mode the messages in a thread overlap each other, right?
why oh why do they not do the same when you turn to landscape?
there's more space for them in landscape mode, why does a message that was 4 lines on portrait continue to be 4 lines on landscape?
why not use the space and take up just one or two lines and overlap like they do in portrait mode?
huh, Apple?

I agree. I think an easier way to describe it is that the message bubbles don't fill the screen when in landscape.

It would at least allow us to see most of the previous message when typing. It's really not a big deal, love the landscape texting!

it becomes a big deal when the landscape keyboard takes up most of the screen, you basically can only see one short line of the convo at a time, i mean seriously, it's so simple and yet so stupid to not have implemented it...

I totally agree here. It is such a waste of screen space, just have the damn messages stretch when you turn to landscape! I really am surprised they released landscape texting in this way

I understand your point but i dont think its that big of a deal. You can still read and text back and forth just fine, even if its a waste of space. It took a year just to get landscape, I wouldn't hold your breath for this addition.

I wish there was an easier way to hide the keyboard when in the messages app. It's hard to read past texts with the keyboard covering up half the screen. It's retarded to have to back out of the chat, then go back in to remove the keyboard.

We should be able to touch any part of the conversation area to hide the keyboard.
