My Bloody Valentine choked HandBrake!

C'mon, sweet title right?

Anyways, HandBrake is giving me grief with "My Bloody Valentine"...

I get 3 options:

41 - 01h50m04s
42 - 01h44m31s
43 - 01h36m32s

Usually, I just go with the one that HB suggests and I am good to go. This DVD prompts HB to suggest chapter 41, I try that and it goes to 99 hrs remaining.

If I try chapters 42 or 43, it freezes at 1%.

Anybody get this DVD to rip?

I had a problem like this happen with a DVD of mine. What I did was installed MacTheRipper, extracted the entire DVD to my hard drive, and then opened that new folder using Handbrake and encoded it from there.

I did that as well, used MacRippr to get it to the local HDD then HandBrake to Rip it, but this whole process takes too long for me.

Did you try watching it in dvdplayer.app and noting the title number played for the main feature, then using Open Source Title Specific in HB and specify just that title from dvdplayer.app ?

Edit: Btw, HB simply picks the longest title in the title list as its suggestion for main feature. No more, no less.

I have 2 more hours on a different rip, then I will give that a shot!

lol. it hasn't worked *yet*. Btw, I heard its kind of cool and cloudy there in the twin cities today . A few sprinkles and a bit blustery eh ?

This seems to have worked, I'll check back in the morning before work...

It seems I should've chosen chapter 1, who would of thought?
