My Brand new MBP just Crashed!!! Typical? or big deal?

My MBP (2.2, 160gb hrdrive) crashed today.

I have had it for about 10 days. I was just doing some normal web surfing, with itunes opened and ical. (I was using firefox) suddenly the screen faded to black and in a curtain manner faded out.

I was told then to restart.

THis is my first mac, and while my old pc laptop would crash all the time, should this occur after only ten days of use?

Should i take this to apple to report or is it commonplace?

A one off kernel panic is not something to worry about. Although if it continues to happen a lot, then you should consider taking it to the Genius Bar.

I find if I don't run Yahoo widgets I do not get the dropping curtain of death.
