totally agreed. Otherwise there's never ever motivation to attempt QC improvement, something that's been going downhill lately with Apple. Mind you, I wouldn't accept such preexisting damage at any price point from any manufacturer, not even with a price reduction. Anecdotally I wrote, wanting to be the first to damage it, not the manufacturer.thank you for letting me know
good for him anyway .the pricier the device ,the less acceptance/tolerance .it's normal to expect a near flawless machine for this budget
There is a completely practical reason to return it for a brand new one, independent of the thoughtful psychological things people say here. If a year from now you decide you want to trade it in for something else, you will not be able to check the box that seems unblemished, looks brand new. And the trade in value will decease significantly. More than half. That's not just because it is blemished, but because the assumption will be that it was dented in a drop or fall. It trade in and resell value is reduced from the get go--and it should go right back. Unless you are absolutely sure you will never want to sell it or trade it, return it.
