Hi folks,

first, let me thank to tsialex for help and answering few questions.

Earlier this year I ordered my single CPU basic spec 4.1 MacPro. Now, thank to guides and threads here on Macrumors I have this.

Spec list:
MacPro 4.1 -> 5.1
Xeon X5680 3.33 Ghz CPU
16 Gigs of RAM (4x4)
RTX 2060 VGA
Lycom DT-120 with Samsung 970 Evo NVMe for system
Samsung 860 Sata SSD for games
Old 640 Gb Sata Drive for stuff

Purpose:
GAMES

How it performs:
Actually pretty well

Since I only run Windows 10 on it to have access to my whole Steam and Origin libraries I am looking for possibility to lower CPU temperature when it is under load.

When playing Battlefield 1 the CPU hits around 85-86 degrees celsius. Intel arc says that max safe temp for this CPU is "TCASE 78.5°C".

Possible ways:
1) Undervolt CPU. - Gonna try this later today.
2) Increase CPU FAN speed a bit to reach lower temps. - Will try it with Macs Fan Control for Windows.
3) ???

Thanks in advance,
A.

Did you apply thermal paste when changing the CPU? Those temps are really high

Update:

1) No undervolting possible with Intel XTU.
but
2) For some reason cooling system runs on low RPM all the time and it does not matter if there is any load (strange af). So I manually set that CPU A core from PCECI sensor controls RPM and voilá CPU temperature dropped to 70-75 degrees celsius.

Could someone please confirm same behavior with his system? Even if it is BootCamp.

Thanks,
A.
