One and a half days for a 4s is nothing to be concerned about. Is that with average, moderate use?
I always have to charge my phone at some point during the day but I'm also always using it so I'm perfectly fine with having to plug it in every once in a while. I'm not quite sure why people are so caught up on battery drain. They still work at less than 50% charge! I keep a charger at my computer at work and I also have a car charger. So when I get low I just charge it! I completely understand and empathize with people who work out in the field and don't have access to a charger though.
I dunno, maybe it's just me. I personally don't have a problem plugging it in during the day. If I didn't use my phone for 6 straight hours and standby and usage time matched and I had no battery....then I'd be really concerned!
Best advice I was given and I pass this on to everyone else, when restoring a firmware ALWAYS set up as new. There are VERY easy ways to transfer saved data over to your new phone. I always transfer my saved game data when I get a new phone or have to upgrade/restore firmware.
Sorry for the rant and going waayyy off topic. It's one of those mornings! Haha
Any time I have a white icon a respring always works for me. Way back in the day when I used to theme my phone I had to sometimes use iWipeCache which also worked successfully.
