my Canadian iPhone 14 Pro Max running on Verizon physical SIM card in the US has worse reception than my iPhone 13 Pro using the same SIM card. The iPhone 14 Pro Max was picked up from a Canadian Apple Store. The iPhone 13 Pro was purchased from Apple(US) online store last year.

if I compare them using that same SIM card, the iPhone 14 Pro Max only gets around 112 to 140mbps down. when I take the SIM card out and put it in the iPhone 13 Pro, it gets close to 200mbps down(usually somewhere between 190mbps and 220mbps) my spare Android phone(Note 20 Ultra also gets around 200mbps) I've tried this with several different speed test apps and choosing various speed test servers.... they all got about the same result.

there's no visible difference in wifi download speeds... both get around 620mbps, which is the max for my 1gig service at home.

Is there anything that I'm doing wrong?

Not bad, my US Pro Max on Att is doing about the same as your Canadian, yours might even be a bit better. How are you liking the Canadian version? I’ve been thinking about doing the same, when stock levels improve and I can justify a trip up there
