Hey

So I know I might have jumped to conclusion before when I saw fake reports saying 11 was smaller width but I'm sorry for that now this is my review, I had both the 11 and the 12.9 since launch and today toke back the 11, the new 12.9 is incredible in so many ways, now the 11 is a great iPad and for a lot of people its the perfect size but for me the 12.9 is so light and the big screen makes everything look incredible, like going from a Plus size phone or Max looking at a smaller one makes you happy for the bigger screen, but both are just as good all depends on what size you like.

The screen and the faceID are perfect its a dream holding it and using it, all I wish that apple would let us remove the home bar but apart from that the screen really feels amazing I didn't have the last 12.9 so for me going from 10.5 its a huge upgrade.

Its so smooth and fast and the speakers are crazy good, this iPad really is the best tablet out there, I know most apps don't use up all the space but in March Apple is making every app update to use new Max and iPads screens so for the next few months will have to wait and see, but anything thinking what size to go for try it out in the store and make your mind up.

Now for the negative. I don't like the keyboard as when its folded behind, you can feel the keys but to be fair I don't use iPads with keyboards cos my MacBook is for that and I like the on screen touch keyboard, also the 12.9 has an extra number row which is mega useful. the smart folio case tho is beautiful really thin and feels great, I don't have the pencil but for me I'm not a artist or would use it but Im sure its great.

I hope apple does advance the iPad OS with iOS 13 as there's so much potential and iOS is limited on the iPad, I will never say its a computer replacement but still a great tool to have for everyday tasked.

So to end this I'm really happy with it and its the best iPad I've ever owned, the size is something that you have to make up but I love the bigger screen, its an amazing buy, Well Done Apple

For me the new 12.9 is a decrease in size and weight compared to my 2015. It's a severe improvement in every way.

I love the new keyboard. No complaints. I'll cook breakfast/dinner, and prop it up just like I used to do with my old one with the smart cover/case (no keyboard prior), only this time the keys are there if I need them. The damn thing is a hoss, it's what the 2015 Pro should have been, a powerhouse.

My only complaint is the f'in chinzy POS cable they include. I'm not bothered by the lack of USB-C to USB-A in the box. What does piss me off is the short length of the included USB-C cord. That's ridic, I mean just chinzy on Apple's behalf. That cable should be twice as long. F U Apple, I paid a premium price for a "PRO" line product and you put in a got damn cable in there that isn't anything Pro. Keep pushing me and I'll set the building on fire ;) <--- a joke from Office Space, don't call the cops on me Cupertino. But quit being so cheap on your premium products.

I wonder does syncing videos from iTunes using usb c to usb c cable from MacBook seem faster I think it is, does the usb c port allow quicker data transfer

That's what happened to me in 2015. Once I ordered the 12.9 to try out it took about 10 minutes of use and knew I'd never go back to the smaller size. Larger size easier on the eyes. Even the 2015 IPP 12.9 is so thin, it was never an issue carrying it around the house or anywhere else.

so true

Seeing as i mainly use the ipad in bed (XS max outside the house), maybe the 12.9 wont be too big. Main concern is that i hated typing on the air 2 and the mini4 converted me forever on that aspect. Obviously watching movies/netflix bigger always better.

the new 12.9 is just amazing, i will definitely go for it if i don't need to carry it outside along with my flute, my 10000 mAh powerstation, and worksheets for my students in the backpack. 12.9 inch is perfect for reading sheet music, but considering the extra weight now i can only choose the 11 inch model. i enjoy using it though. really hope Apple will make an even lighter 12.9 model.
