I honestly regret buying another iphone. I should've gotten an android. I have had this problem multiple times with the iphone 7 plus, but at times it would work but now nothing works. It doesn't read any of them.

When I plug in my phones, it gives the "trust this computer" I clicked yes and NOTHING shows either on PC, itunes, or any other apple transfer software. My computer is authorized on itunes and I reauthorized it.

I have installed all updates and drivers for windows 10. I disable all antivirus and any other program. I tried multiple different USB ports.

I read multiple guides, reddits, microsoft forum posts, etc nothing works, nothing

This is trash. In 2024, this problem shouldn't be happening and it almost makes me think they do this on purpose to force people towards Apple macs. They purposely make software compatibility and recognition with windows harder and less polished.

This is the same company that was SLOWING down people's phones via battery setting without telling anyone and to force and push people into buying NEW phones. When they got caught, made up a lame excuse and to save face, offered battery replacement for half price for a few months lol

I shouldn't have to format my computer to "check" if it works that way, this should just work. I have a cheap android and when I connect to PC, it shows it connects like all androids this is garbage that in 2024, you can't even transfer photos and video from a $800+ phones in peace

"TBH in 2024 there’s no need to plug your phone into a computer."

What replaced iTunes and a computer for recovery mode?

Again, very very very seldom required. Only needed in highly unusual & rare circumstances..
I agree the need for iTunes is not very common, but over the years a few times iTunes has been used for an iPhone or iPad in recovery mode.

Without iTunes, what is used for recovery mode?
