All I can do is turn it on. it sits at the apple boot screen. I cant turn it off by hold home+power and thats it. my computer doesnt see it. some one please help, im kinda freaking out.

Everything seemed to be going perfect. But right after it said the 2.2 update was successful, and that it should show up in itunes in about 10 seconds, the cat hit my phone and the usb came out a tiny bit but im not sure if it disconnected.

good luck getting help here. they are just going to say "use the search function"

I would give you some advice... but i'm kinda new at all this stuff. only thing I know is that itunes wont recognize it if you updated your mac to 10.5.6

If you ever get stuck at the apple logo, put it in DFU and restore. Then try again.

It wouldn't go into dfu mode. Thats what i always do when **** goes wrong hence why i was freaking out.

Im not sure what actually happened, but eventually after waiting about 15 minutes on the apple screen the phone came up with a screen that said connect to itunes. Now all is good, except applemobilesync wont give my phone any contacts, it just keeps crashing. Everything else is on my phone but I cant tell who's calling me!
