My contacts are a mess!!! help!!

Looking for advice on how to manage my contacts. I have a iphone 4, ipad, . My hotmail contacts are syncing on the ipad but not the iphone. I don't want any hotmail to sync anywhere. I want my contacts to look the same between the iphone and ipad. How do I do this?

I have upgraded both devices with ios5 and I have a icoud account.

Try this

I dont use Hotmail, but if you look at Settings>Mail, Calendars, Contacts you will see your email accounts listed. Select the Hortmail account and see if you have 'contacts' turned on. I think that controls the syncing.

Go to settings, iCloud, and turn "Contacts" on
Do the same on both iPhone and iPad
