WTF....They worked yesterday....Not sure what the hell happened.....Can't even turn off the iPhone by holding down the top button. The home button works....but that's IT!

Try resetting? (hold the home and sleep/wake button)

That didn't work....I got it to power off from SBsettings...but it wouldn't come back on from sleep/wake....I had to plug it in to get it to turn back on...

So, your home button works, but silent rocker switch and sleep button don't? Will phone sleep if you push the sleep button? Maybe try holding down home for 20 seconds or so, see if anything happens? I had a similar problem and did that, phone rebooted and all was fine :)

If nothing seems to be working, a restore maybe your only option :( And possibly returning it to the store (On official Firmware, of course! :D)

Hope you got insurance/warranty/apple care or something. My home button doesnt work right anymore but with sbsettings I can still do everything except screenshots :(

going to probably have to do a backup and restore tonight to see if that fixes it...uggghhh..

even more weird....my settings app is gone....where the hell'd that go....ugghhh....

What did you do for that to happen?!

I can get to it through SBSettings....I'm guessing that it went away when I removed that app. Weird. It one of those apps you can't delete. Well...it's not deleted, becasue it works through SBSettings..I added SBsettings and I can get to it from there.

It's SBSettings that got rid of them...When you have them on the SBSetting Dock...They go away....

Okay, hope it fixes the problem :) Oh, and don't JB it straight away, check if all buttons work, then JB, and tell us if the problem reoccurs.

It's definitely a hardware problem. I noticed that I can make the buttons functional by squeezing the screen and the back. I found this out by accident, when I was holding it in my hand and I squeezed the phone. It vibrated. So I started playing with it, and while squeezing the phone, I could operate the volume switches, and the top button started working. Either the board inside is cracked, or there's a loose solder connection. I have the extended warranty, so when I get back from the Super Bowl, I'll take it in....I don't have time to go before, and the phone is working...
