Whats going on here? I just opened up my brand new Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP and at the very top of the screen the image "fidgets". Thats the only way I know how to describe it. Im sure you guys have seen a monitor image shake before, yet here it only fidgets at the top quarter inch. Its not enough to make me want to return it today, but its enough to drive me crazy. I'm gonna have to send it back soon.

I know its the monitor, not my powerbook, because when I rotate the image upside down or 90 degrees its still that side of the dell widescreen that fidgets. I've replugged the DVI chord to no avail. It also doesnt have this problem on other monitors. Anybody else having this issue? What shall i do?

Does it do it all the time? My dell display will bounce the image initially in an attempt to properly center it or something (it's in the manual).

Unfortunately, yes!

Yes, all day. It may stop for a few minutes, and then start again for a long time. its like a nervous twitch that wont go away. It doesnt affect the positioning of the screen or any other part of it. I tried getting it on video but the twitch is not visible enough on my digital camera so i wouldnt know how to show it.

Which input are you using on the Dell? The DVI input or the VGA input? It seems like you're using the DVI input, but you haven't explicitly said so.

Also, does the twitch remain if you reduce the resolution displayed on the Dell?

I wouldn't take any chances, I would just get a replacment as soon as possible.

Yeah just call dell and have them send you a replacement. Unlike Apple, I have never had an issue getting Dell to exchange a product for me.

"I've replugged the DVI chord to no avail". It's a DVI connection. Yeah I switched around on resolutions and its the same problem.
