Hello,

As it is, I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 installed on my macOS 10.13.6 iMac. I've tried reinstalling from the disc because I get a message telling me that some of the features can't work because I need to reinstall the APE 6 app from the disc. When I insert the disc, it starts and then stops several times, but about the four time, it ejects the disc. Why is my computer ejecting the disc, when it's obvious that at one time, it was installed. Otherwise, the app wouldn't be on my computer? Thank you for any help. -Ella

When I insert the disc, it starts and then stops several times, but about the four time, it ejects the disc.

Look at the disk. Does it have any fingerprints, scratches, etc.? If so clean the disk wiping across the disk. Do not clean in a circular wipe.

If that doesn't work then:

1. If there are too many imperfections on the disk surface then the disk is bad
2. If the disk is perfect the problem may be your disk reader. What kind do you have?

Hi HDFan!

Thank you so much for responding to my question. I cleaned the disk with a little alcohol (I've done this before with other disks) but did what you recommended against -cleaned it in circles. I'll try it again, your way. The disk as far as I can tell looks perfect. I see no imperfections on it. I used it only one time to install the app on my computer. I tried looking to see what type of disk reader the computer has, but I could not find it. Thank you. -Ella
