Are there any settings or options apart from hiding apps and settings in the App Library ?

My dad who’s 85 is driving us all nuts by fiddling with the settings app etc despite me deleting them from the Home Screen and then hiding in the app library ?

If there’s nothing in the apple ecosystem , could anyone recommend an alternative ?

George, what does he say when you bring it up?

How did he find the Settings if you hid them?

Which settings is he changing that are a problem?

Perhaps, he's clever and there are things he wants to tweak! Or, likes the attention or the rise he gets out of doing it!

Easy enough to reset back default. Just make sure backing up to cloud. Can also restrict various settings with password under parent control.

I had this issue with my mother. So what I did was set her up in our family sharing, and gave her the age of 11. Based on that I was able to use screen time to limit her website and settings access. I then can use a password to bypass those settings when she needs a legitimate setting change and then lock her back down. It also keeps her from enrolling in an app that requires a subscription payment method.

Sorry I had to come in to laugh. My mother does the same thing, I gave her an iPhone and she screwed up all the settings.

I just realized this is why the app layout on my Apple TV keeps changing, mom “learned” Apple TV last week. Great, this is what I get for making jokes….
