For the last several days my iPhone has quit receiving my gmail and yahoo mail. The last emails I got was after I ran a sync for the new software update.

I have looked on here and also AT&T's site but can't find an answer.

Thanks

Have you tried restarting your phone?

I have this problem occasionally and I have to force the email app to close by going to email and holding in the home button until the email app closes.

If neither of those suggestions work, try a restore.

This has started happening to me as well in the last week. I only seem to receive emails when Mail does a manual check, so I guess the push function is borked. A restore and powering on/off hasn't fixed it.

Mine is doing this as well. I wasn't sure what the problem was. Anyone else have this start happening recently? It appears it started happening after the last update, but it may be coincidence.

I got my iPhone on August 28th and this is the only problem I've had with it. Sometimes Yahoo pushes...sometimes it doesnt. If I hold the home button to force Mail to quit I have better results, but its still hit and miss sometimes. Its a big issue for me since I use email as "texts" to avoid the $20 unlimited texts fee!

From what I have read this is an issue Apple is aware of and should hopefully be addressed in the next update. Until then the work around seems to be force quitting the app or restarting the phone. Downside is that you lose any unsent email.
