My existing (working rogers) SIM card won't work with my used FIDO iphone 3g ??????

Bought privately in toronto. I restored the phone in itunes, so it recognizes the phone with my working ROGERS SIM card, but says "The SIM card in this iphone does not appear to be suported". I have the original FIDO card but don't recognize the phone in itunes. The phone seems to be locked or something. Any idea's would be great. THX. And i know that the firmware vers. is 3.1.2

If the phone is locked to FIDO or any other carrier you won't be able to use it with Rogers.

You need to Jailbreak the phone with Blackra1n and unlock it with Blacksn0w.

After that you should be able to pop in the Rogers sim and get a signal.

Sweet, thx. So far so good. It's been unpacking snow for about 10 min now, guess i'll have to wait it out and go from there. thx again.
