My favorite laughing emoji has disappeared when typing “haha”. Any way to add it back?

I used to always use the sideways laugh with tears when typing “haha” in a text.

For some reason, it got replaced with this weird tongue one.

Any idea how to get the old sideways laugh back in recommendations when typing haha?

You can always open the Keyboard settings and set up an automatic substitution there, so that whenever you type "haha" it changes to the emoji you want.

Of note, subtitutions you set up there will sync over to your other iOS and MacOS devices.
