Okay, so those of us running the betas have had a few weeks with these playlists. So far I've had 3 Favorites Mixes and 2 My New Music Mixes.

Favorites Mix has been so incredibly spot on. The first week it was almost all hip hop, the 2nd week was indie, and this week has primarily been 90's alt rock, but very obscure 90's alt rock. This week has been maybe the best yet. It dug up stuff from my library that I haven't listened to in years, but nonetheless were old favorites that have playcounts in iTunes going back nearly a decade.

The My New Music Mix was really rough for me the first week. I didn't much care for it, and realizing it was basing everything off the Love/Dislike system, I went through my library last week and gave it as much feedback as I could. After just one week, the playlist drastically improved on Friday. I discovered at least a half dozen artists I'd never heard of that I absolutely loved, and even more I'll be keeping an eye on. None of it was anything I'd ever heard of, and I consider myself pretty savvy when it comes to new music.

Overall I have come away very impressed with both of these playlists after just a few weeks. They both do exactly what they say they will in the description, and evidently only get better with more user input. The thing I find myself most impressed with is the flow of the playlists. As someone who has always prided himself on knowing how to make a good mix tape, these mixes all feel like they were hand made, with the flow of one song into another heavily considered throughout. I know it has to be an algorithm, there's no way a team of people are curating these for millions of users every week by hand. But it feels that way. I am legitimately blown away.

Has anyone else been checking these out? There was a thread in the iOS 10 Beta Forum, but I thought it would be nice to get something going here now that the feature is widely available.

Favorites List has been correct for me all old pre 2000's music. New Music I don't touch the mainstream top 40 crap. I like Smooth Jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin type but it has not recommended that so I don't listen to the new music tab not much there to like.

The Browse section is better now too except for the useless New Music tab with 80% explicit crap music. It does censor the swear words however there is one album it censors the f word but the stupid f word is on the album cover. I disliked it but there is no way of reporting it.

However Curated playlists is great though. Looking through the playlists it shows many songs and artist I like. Just avoid the new music crap nothing there I like at all. Also no way of defaulting to Curated playlists when I click on Browse. When I use to use the web player on Play Music and Slacker I had to bookmark that certain page to avoid the vulgar new music crap or not scroll all the way down. I will have to do the same on AM not scroll all the way down.

I'm only on iOS 10 since yesterday, so these are new to me. What does "Subscribe" do?

It's basically the same as adding to your library, but the "+" is "Subscribe" if its a playlist that is updated with any kind if frequency, such as these weekly lists and a few of the curated ones as well.

It won't archive old versions for you, so if you want to actually save the playlist you'll want to add it to a new playlist before it refreshes.

You are talking about the "For You" page, which only gets better as you give it feedback. No top 40 stuff in mine whatsoever.

Also, I am referring specifically to two new playlists in that section, which do an overall much better job at picking music they think the user will like.

Sorry Yes I meant For You. Browse has that top 40 crap however some of the playlist stations have quite bit older music I like only under curated playlists.
