About 2 years ago I had this idea of writing an application. I have never written anything before... it was all new to me. The learning curve was STEEP... and being a full-time+ tech director left little time to learn it as the "real" job came first. I worked countless hours designing it, and then contacted a friend who bought into the idea, so we started a little company. Actually, his coding genius made it all work.... but even he had done nothing like this before except some very basic Visual Basic.
This is written in RealBasic becasue I wanted a cross-platform solution... and didn't want the curve TOO steep.
So sleepless nights and weekends hunkered down in my basement sharing iDisk space with my partner, we came up with this... my first app.

The Mac version is "ready" save for a bit of testing. The Windows version has one printing issue in one part of the app called "Journal" that should be fixed by tomorrow.

If you decide to take a look, thanks. Hopefully the moral of this story, whether we sell any or not, is that yes, YOU CAN DO IT, no matter your level of coding experience.

Oh, and if you're curious, no, we have NOT decided on a price. Oddly enough it seems to be the least important thing!

Congrats on your release! Looks quite impressive.

Well, we HOPE to release it this weekend... and thanks. We've affectionately called this app "Whack-A-Mole". Seems like whenever a change in on part of the app is fixed, another problem appears elsewhere. Mostly it involves styledprinter settings and XP. Seems XP doesn't like to hold pref settings, so all jobs had to be sent to a preview on XP to get it to work like we wanted.
