hi everyone
got my first imac i7 refurb today..what a beast it is.
the first thing i did was to install the software update.halfway through the fans kicked in and omg the noise and the imac was doing nothing but downloading the update.then a little later in the day i was watching a trailer and it did the same thing again went really load and you could hear it still when the speakers were at max.I reset the imac and on booting still the same issue the fans were running at 100% the only way i could get rid of it was to shutdown,unplug the power connector for a minute and power up again and it was fine.This has happened at random about 6 times all when the imac was doing virtually nothing.
that isn't normal is it?
