Ok, well first of all hey!

Ive mentioned this in the 20" imac shipments thread already, but to be honest im a bit worried about my new imac that i recieved yesterday...so i thought ide make a thread (dont hate plz) :)

The problems that ive notice are the following:

The camera has something on the lens, or there is a problem with the lens...there is a black speck, which i thought were dead pixels - but it only occurs when i turn isight on.

And I think I have been given a usa keyboard. The layout is different to all others ive used before with the @ symbol being on the number row. Is this normal for a uk mac?

Im in a bit of a panic, as im new to the mac world, and having heard lots of good praise upon apple's build quality and such...im scared ive a) got a dudd imac or b) ive been given some kind of refurb with a US keyboard.

Like i say, im totally new to macs - this is my first one - but the isight problem is definately not down to my "newbie" ways.

Call the support line and get a new imac? Ide be greatful for any helpful comments.

Thanks!!

the @ is always on number 2 on UK Macs

not too sure about the black dot maybe some dust on the lense? give it a clean and see if that sorts it

I've generall had pretty good experiances with Apple's customer services, so the first thing I'd do is call Apple, or even better, go to an Apple Store if there is one nearby.
