Hey guys, do not, i repeat DO NOT follow the instructions to calibrate your battery on apple's website. It says:
# Continue to keep your computer on until it goes to sleep. Save all your work and close all applications when the battery gets very low, before the computer goes to sleep.
# Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more.
Well, I did just that! I made sure to exit all applications before it went to sleep on its own. I wanted to keep watching Heroes
) ) so I opted to turn the computer off instead of allowing it to sleep for 5 hours. So I held down the power button till it turned off. Turned it back and and it froze like a kernel panic. Turned off. Turned on. Everything hunky dory til I close her up...and the apple lights up and the drives spin. WTF! I try it again and again, change settings, repair permissions, reset pram...nuttin. So I had to go through the PITA that is resetting the power manager unit (turn off, unhook cord, take out battery, hold down power button for 5 seconds, replace everything, start up) and now I'm just fine!
It wasn't my MBPs fault per say, just Apple's dumb4$$ instructions. Just let it sleep.
