My first time with Adobe Illustrator and here is what I created. Created a poster for my website. Lots of straight lines, so I don't consider it too hard, but it was easier than I expected. Let me know what you think.

Nice and simple, looks good for a first creation. Mine was a bunch of shapes and lines haha.

Looks awkwardly long but maybe it's because it's time for me to sleep.

it's really not that bad at all for your first creation in illustrator. personally, illustrator used to scare the hell out of me. once you move on to bezier curves, you'll feel me... nonetheless, good start!

looks pretty nice. Agree on the text and I would also probably just make the right eye slightly smaller to match the perspective of the bag but other than that it works fairly well.

Hi there. Nice poster but you could change the font. Really it makes the poster ugly :(

Try "Impact", its very similar to what you have but more legible. I'd take the type to photoshop and mess with it a bit and put it back in the design. Good design though.

To be honest, I really like the typeface being used. It's dynamic, in your face and more importantly for me, uncommon.

You see Impact used everywhere. If you're branding yourself, don't look like everybody else.

I like it. I like the font. The only thing I saw that was a little off was the way the neck disappears into the bag. Shouldn't that shadow/line be similar to the jagged edge of the bag itself?

Was this created with the help of tutorials or just by messing around with the different tools? Nonetheless, for a first design it looks good besides the perspective of the right eye!

I watched some basic tutorials on the functionality of illustrator. The image is original.

Great ugly poster!

  1. Great job on the visual dynamics.
  2. Good use of drawing tools.
  3. Perhaps lighten black bag creases.
  4. Cast shadow from bag edge is incorrect and too light.
  5. Vary the stylistic stroke used for the eyes so it does not look cloned.
  6. Illegibility of font not your fault. It is a nice face but extreme color contrast with condensed sans-serif font is working against you. You can shorten height in Illustrator by first converting selection to paths. Then try adding a tint of the lightest bag color.
