i was playing a game that runs in 800x600 on my ibook. it froze, so i restarted...then osx was running in 800x600. now when i open adium and stuff, the font looks way different. like it looks....thinner? its also....darker (more a gray when people are active when it should be white) and more smudgy sort of.

other whites (web address bar, this website) are fine. it seems like it has o do mainly with fonts.. i dont know?!

Why don't you set your resolution back to the native resolution of the LCD (aka 1024 x 768)?

i did, but now like the auto selected things in my safari browser when i start typing a url, is fuzzy and hazy, as is my active/all buddies on ADIUM

At your current screen resolution, when you see fuzziness, can you please take a screenshot by pressing command+shift+3, and post it here? If it looks normal on my display, then there is a problem with either your resolution settings, your color depth settings, or your display itself.
