My friend broke his iphone 2G glass screen. If he takes it to an Apple store, will they fix it or give him a new 3G? If they do fix or trade, how much will they charge for it?

Thnx

It's up to him on the choice

Here's the choice he's got, he can get the screen fixed for $250, which will completely replace the phone or the screen I'm not sure exactly which one. The other option of course would be to buy an iPhone 3G for $200, but he would pay at least $15 more a month. Now the other options he has is to sell it cracked on ebay, which will probably bring in $150 if he unlocks it or fix it ($250) and then sell it online unlocked for possibly more. Basically it comes down to whether he wants a 3G now and pay $15 more a month or keep his 2G and pay $250 to fix it. Personally, I would sell the 2G unlocked cracked or uncracked and buy the 3G, its worth the GPS and faster speeds.

Hope that helps!
