I'm the tech aid at my school, and I've been working on a noble mission.

Go and install Firefox on every single computer., which involves 100+ computers. (All mac of course ;) ).

I have to turn off "DriveShield" before each time... so it's taking quite awhile.
But it's enjoyable to know I'm ridding our school of the god-awful IE.

They're all Macs, but they were all using IE? What OS number are they running? I thought all Macs running later versions of 10.2.x thru 10.4.x used Safari by default. IE doesn't even ship on Macs any more.

They're all fairly old.
The OS we installed on them, the perfect "copy" I mean, came from an older computer. Only maybe 10% are using 10.4

Safari is on all of them but the stupid students thought "Internet" in IE meant that it could be the only thing to surf the web.

It's amazing how many people never even heard of FF... and many didn't know that Safari was a browser.

Sad. Sad times.
