iPhone XR. Totally inconsistent. Sometimes yes. Most times no. AND NEARLY NO ONE IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING.

What should I do with this piece of $h!t?
 
Have you tried a simple restart of the phone? And are you updated to the latest version of iOS?

Yep. Latest software. And hard restart. And erased all content and restored from iCloud backup. Haptics still hit and miss. I’m about to throw it over the wall. I’ve had iPhones since 2008 and I’ve never felt like I’ve been holding a piece of crap until now.
 
Seriously, as said above, why aren’t you taking it back to the store? What good is bitching on here going to do? If it’s in warranty get them to sort it out. You shouldn’t have to be stressing about it on here. Good luck

It’s my second replacement phone! That’s three phones. I have to drive at least an hour to get to a store. This has never happened to me before as an iPhone owner.

I’M NOT HERE TO BITCH. I WANT TO KNOW IF OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS.
 
Firstly, please calm down. There's no need for attacking others on the forum.

Secondly, how do you know this is a hardware issue? I've noticed haptics not always working on my 11 Pro Max as well. Could be an iOS 13.1.2 bug.

I can only say that my XR, which I have had since release day, has been flawless.

Try talking with Apple direct before making another drive to the store.

Frustrating as your issue is, it doesn’t seem to be a system wide issue.
