my iMac clock disappeared..

I was downloading Front Row when I realized it was just the update, not the actual Front Row. So, I deleted it and got the pinwheel of death. Next thing I know my clock and bluetooth/volume buttons on the top right are gone! Already tried going through system pref. Any ideas? Thanks

edit: seems like a corrupt file? when I turn on my mac it says send report to apple, and when I try to click on mouse or keyboard in system pref it says cannot open..

If something like that happened to me I just go with a system restore & try to be more carful at the things I download and do.

Honestly it seems like you have to dig into files to fix it and if your no expert it's best to just do a restore of the OS.

Really do not want to restore. Any other options?
