I managed to get an internet install completed after a few reboots. There.s still something screwy with this drive. This is a fresh Catalina Internet install. Why do I have four volumes with one unmounted?
Because that's the way the new APFS file system on the latest OS releases is designed.
The "unmounted" volume may be the "Secure System Volume" (kept inaccessible to the user).
I loaded up my programs and files and I seem to be a large chunk of space short, the internet install failed 20 minutes in with a triangle and exclamation point and error code 2005F. Me and the tech tried again and it worked. I think a blank partition was created during that failure.
I managed to delete those volumes and install Monterey. What happened is the APFS got updated in the Ventura install to a version that Catalina wasn't compatible with. Thats why I couldn't delete those volumes.
