Yeah AT&T had too many requests I think. I am surprised at how many people activated upon purchase of the 3G iPad. I will wait until I need it.

Tried to find you on twitter, I need more iPad users on my list.

I'm at mikekukielka on twitter. Thanks for following!

I haven't heard much about iPad activation problems so I was surprised to run into one.

No problems on my end. I'm typing on it right now using my Apple Bluetooth keyboard.

The WiFi works great. I checked it in different parts of the house, and am having no issues w/it. I'm getting a good hard signal, including that of my neighbers units as well. :D

The 3G is a little slow, but not bad, probably because I am inside, where even my cell phone doesn't get the very best signal, but it does work. I haven't been out yet to try it outside.

I wish my Apple Bluetooth Mouse worked w/the iPad, but it doesn't seem to see it. :(

.

The WiFi antennae is actually behind the Apple logo, so the extra plastic on the 3G model at the top shouldn't make much of a difference.

The 3G works about as well as the 3G on my iPhone, which is quite god in my area. This will be invaluable for traveling to conferences!

when they were activating my phone at the apple store, there was a little bit of a slow down, but that had to do with 50 other people activating theirs at the same time im pretty sure.

Way back in 2008 when the iPhone 3G came out, there was a HUGE hang-up with activations. I waited in line for 6 hours because of the activation problems. I doubt the iPad was creating that sort of load, so I was surprised to run into any problems.

i'll be watching your unboxing on my new iPad later tonight. im
a big fan of your videos, very informative and professionally done,
please keep up the good work.

It always says it failed, but in reality it works every time.

I've seem it on all the iPads.

I was amazed at how quickly it did set-up, I was fortunate enough to be number 30 inline and was in the store by 5:10 and was out by 5:40'ish. That included the sale, un-boxing and set-up of both 3g and MobileMe.

I guess I got lucky...

I think that was most people's experience, I just had a slight delay ;)
