iPod My iPad and iPod won't sync.

I just got a brand new MacBook Pro and i've moved all my music to it. But, after downloading new music from mediafire onto itunes, it will play in itunes and shows up there, but it won't sync onto either my 2nd generation iPad or my iPod Nano.. so i'm unsure what the issue is? I press the sync button and it says it's syncing. And, after it syncs, my new music is on it. On my old PC, I never had this problem. Am i missing something here?

Hope someone can help, this is driving me crazy.

have you synced it with another computer/laptop, that could ov cause it.
