My iPad is nearly here! [Story]

Hey guys.

So after a LONG wait my iPad 16GB is nearly here!

I bought my iPad 16GB from a US seller on eBay on the 14th April. He shipped it on the 15th April. I was due to receive it about the 20th April which was great. However, what could be the most random thing that happens that would delay my iPad? A fricken Volcano eruption!

As you know the volcano in Iceland erupted and due to this, UK airspace was CLOSED for a good few days. Because of this my iPad's plane had to turn back to the US.

After a long, long time constantly checking Parcelforce and USPS tracking I see this:

Yay! :D My iPad was in the UK after a long wait! So, it has been in customs for 2 days now and will most likely be given to parcelforce later today for them to deliver to me! :D

I am so excited to use my iPad and I have £40 in my iTunes account ready to spend :p

Just thought I'd share my story :). If you have bought an iPad from the US, do you have a story like this? If so, post it! :D

I heard alot of people had to wait a while due to the eruption.

I should be getting mine tmmrw or friday. Cant wait for mine! Already bought all the Apps i wanted for the iPad and already got a Anti-Glare and Back Cover. :D

I have a case which I bought about 2 weeks ago as well, just sitting on my desk all alone :p
 
It'll be worth the wit and whatever you paid to get it. Congratulations dude, and thanks for sharing your story.

on topic: I lost excitement about a week ago [:(] but then this! :D I paid £420 + £20 P&P. Not too bothered because I know the 16GB won't be far off £499 when it hits the UK.
 
Glad you're finally getting it. Hopefully it'll be worth all the stress!! I'm anxiously awaiting mine on Friday. :)
 
Congrats mate. It is a torturous wait, I've just been there :) Totally worth it though as it's an awesome bit of kit.

By the way John Squire = Legend (don't care for his solo stuff but my guitar hero!).
