it took me 3 years and 3 gens to figure out. I’m MY case, it was kind of static electricity.

Fix, take your case off then put it back on. No more problems. Until you attempt to charge the pad. If you plug it in, the cases magnets get “charged” and cause the problem until the case is fully removed again

Wait, you fixed the problem?

So it gets fixed until you charge it (in the case) again? Then after every charge you have to take the case off and put it back on again?

Exactly . I think somehow when you charge the iPad, the electricity “transfers” to the metals in the case and is only “discharged” once the case is removed. Try it and report back, maybe it was only mine

Actually I just tried it on my end with Apple genuine magnetic case. It did work for 2 hours after I replaced the case but then the screen got unresponsive again. Unfortunately I don't think it's a long-term solution, the case may do something to static electricity but it cannot last forever - there's static electricity everywhere around you.

Mine has been going strong 7 hours now. Also maybe the case is getting electricity static from somewhere then building up and storing it. Try ceaseless, then atleast we know and can try and find metal less cases

I wonder if it’s worth trying to charge the iPad without the case on and then using the iPad without the case to see if the response issues go away
