I ordered an iPad for the International launch. It is still listed as being delivered by May 28th, but it's now May 25th and it still hasn't been shipped. There is no way it can make it here from China in 3 days. Is there anything I can do or am I completely screwed?

My shipping info was not accurate but it arrived exactly when it was supposed to. It was confirmed by ups that tracking info was lagging behind actual location info. This was for the apr 3rd us wifi launch. May be the same thing going on.

If it is any comfort, mine hasn't shipped either.

I ordered my iPad on the first day of pre-orders at around ten in the morning, local time. The accessories were marked as ready to ship on the weekend, the actual iPad yesterday morning. I am expecting it to change to Shipped some time in the next twenty-four hours. It might well have been despatched already; you just don't know how accurate these things really are.

While I would like to know it is on its way, I am not really very worried at this stage. Last year I purchased an iPod which was sent directly from China. It took less than two days from the factory to my door.

Just curious, but how are you "completely screwed" by not getting it May 28? Will it never arrive if you don't get it May 28? Or are you going to die at midnight that day and therefore would miss out on the experience (and I'm sorry if so, but at least you know in advance, unlike most people - and in that case I agree, you are completely screwed)?

I realize it's exciting to get one on release day, but if you don't, aren't you still going to get one?

Yes, he is still going to get one, but I can appreciate his frustration. In the final scheme of things it's not going to make much difference if it arrives on Monday morning instead of Friday, but from a practical point of view, it will be annoying if the delivery comes late.

I have arranged my week to be home on Friday on the assumption that there will be a delivery. This included telling a close relative that I would appreciate it if she could avoid Friday when making an appointment for a critical medical test.

At the moment, my iPad is still showing as unshipped. If it is still showing unshipped at lunch time, I will be phoning to find out what the delivery situation is. I'm still quite prepared to believe it will arrive on Friday, but I do have work to do and a life to live outside of sitting around waiting for a TNT man.
