My iPhone 3G won't adjust the volume properly!

Whenever I try to change the volume in the iPod app it has trouble adjusting it and skips, WTF is wrong with it? Here's a video of my problem. It's Radiohead's
"Jigsaw Falling Into Place" BTW.

 
Scratch that, the issue went away suddenly. Could it be that I turned it off for a few hours?
